Greetings visitor!
(I’m on a mission to make greetings sound less like it’s coming from an alien)
The jury finds us all guilty of the following: prescribing our aspirations to a fictional day
dubbed “someday”, in which we are to achieve all our dreams, see our wishes fulfilled and empty our bottomless to-do lists.
Let’s make today someday. Right now. Too busy? Even better; the moment to take a break is when we don’t have time for one.
Today be who you’d like to be. If that sounds too lofty, who cares? Try and fail. We are often taught that we must be perfect at something to participate, but making mistakes and enjoying ourselves along the way is just as valuable.
Sing off-key, take a month to learn one song on the piano, write poetry that might not be poetry, essays without conclusions and too-long introductions. Just look at my rough drawings and weird writing, or take a look at one of my amateur vlogs on Youtube. Experimenting with no fear of failure has led me to gain a variety of new skills, and I can only hope to encourage us all to be a little kinder to ourselves.
